Once a conviction is entered, the legal system largely moves on. There is no automatic right to counsel for post-conviction motions. Most people navigating that process are on their own, at exactly the point their case is hardest to challenge.

Post Conviction Project provides legal representation to close that gap throughout Florida. Our attorneys review trial records for legal error, identify grounds for relief that were missed the first time, and build the record a court needs to grant it.

Depending on eligibility and available resources, representation is offered on a below-market, reduced-fee, or pro bono basis, because the ability to challenge a conviction should not depend on the ability to pay for it.
